All In

All: used to emphasize the greatest possible amount of a quality.

I had another post ready to go but I felt like God was telling me to wait. Then, this morning I woke up just reciting Jeremiah 29:13 in my head and I wanted to touch on it.

We can all recite Jeremiah 29:11 by heart and backwards probably, maybe even do it upside down. But do you know what verses 12 and 13 says? Verse 11 is deep, but 12 and 13 get deeper...

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." -Jeremiah 29:11-13

I know a lot of broken people, we all are broken people. Have you ever felt like in order to do a certain task or job or be with someone that you needed to "have it all figured out"and be put together perfectly. Excuse me while I call bull. 1. nobody is perfect. 2. we are all broken in some form or fashion. 3. God doesn't expect us to have it all together. What He does expect is for us to trust Him and to pray to Him. Run to Him. Cry out to Him. Laugh with Him. Praise Him, even when it hurts. Pray first before you ask for prayer from others, though.

There's this one worship song that I love to listen to called Sanctuary by SEU Worship and it's the live version. There's a part about half way through the song when the lead singer starts talking and what he says I know by heart but it still hits me so hard in the chest.

"Pour out you praise, pour out your worship whether your tank is empty or its full, He wants it! so just come as you are!"

Friend, it doesn't matter if you have life figured all out (which nobody does btw) and you have everything or you are lost and empty, God wants you to come as you are!! He wants ALL of you! No matter our success or failures, He desires our hearts, now. When we experience the presence of God, we will never look the same. His love for you goes far beyond your performance or a polished version of yourself. He loves you even when you feel too far gone, and there's been many times where I've felt like I was too far gone. He desires to make us more like Him every time we encounter His presence. So lets seek after him, lets go all in. With all of our hearts.
